Russian security services detain Crimean Tatar activists for questioning as they return from concert in Kyiv

Crimean Tatar activists who participated in gala concert Vatan Sesi (Call of Motherland) are being detained by servicemen of Russian security agency, FSB, on the administrative border with occupied Crimea.

“On Tuesday, Nov. 29, Russian FSB employees for some reasons are detaining Crimean Tatar activists. Those underage have been free to go, others are being taken for questioning.

“Those detained currently include: Hip-Hop Qirim band members (Seiran Khalilov, Eskender Chatalov, Osman Dzemaliadinov), singer Reana Tarkova, and mother of underage participant of the concert Adile Absaitova – Aishe Absaitova. Along with the singers, FSB officers also detained mother of Mustafa Dehermendzhy, a political prisoner under the “case of Feb. 26″ – Alie Dehermendzhy,” the message reads.
