Former dissident Oleg Sofyanik not released from Crimea


The Russian border control of the FSB did not allow leaving the Crimea and leaving for the mainland of Ukraine to the Sevastopol marathon swimmer, former dissident Oleg Sofyanik.  

“Today, the FSB at Chongar refused to let me into mainland Ukraine. Despite the passport of a citizen of Ukraine, the presence of imposed Russian citizenship does not allow them to let people out of the “Putin zone”. So they explained […], ”said Sofyanik.

He specified that no document was issued on his travel ban.

Earlier, Oleg Sofyanik reported that he was afraid of being imprisoned in a psychiatric hospital in Sevastopol, where he was called for an appointment.   Recall that Sofyanik expresses his solidarity with the Crimean Tatar people. He devoted more than once to the victims of the deportation of 1944.
