On the Remembrance Day of Crimean Tatar people’s genocide, the Ambassador of Ukraine in the United Nations Sergey Kislitsya said that Ukraine is going to continue its efforts to ensure that the Stalin deportation of Crimean Tatars from Crimea in 1944 will be recognized as a crime on the international level and it will be always remembered.

Kislitsya also mentioned that deportation of 1944 had been suppressed by the USSR for many years and the current president of the Russian Federation “intentionally glorifies Stalin”. Since 18th of May, the “Collective sorrow ” week of Solidarity with the Crimean Tatar people has been started. It includes a number of human rights and media projects on the anniversary of the genocide of Crimean Tatar people.
