In Sevastopol, administrative case against a resident for comment on social networks was passed to court, which the investigation considers as “public humiliation of human dignity.”

The press service of the Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in Sevastopol reports.

As indicated in the department, the comments of the 31-year-old resident of Sevastopol for the publication in one of the city’s Internet communities drew the attention of employees of the Center for Combating Extremism.

“The texts were sent for examination at the Forensic Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for linguistic examination. According to experts, the comments contained statements that showed signs of humiliation of human dignity and incitement to hostile actions on a national basis, ”the press service said.

According to the agency, the man told the police that he had indeed posted offensive statements on the Internet, “succumbing to negative emotions and not thinking about the possible legal consequences.”

An administrative protocol has been drawn up for a Sevastopol man; he faces a fine of 10 to 20 thousand rubles, or compulsory labour for up to 100 hours, or administrative arrest for up to 15 days.
